whole foods coming soon!
so, after a long hiatus, i've come back to the blog-burbs. summer held trips on the wedding junket to san francisco and charleston, south carolina, two lovely towns. today i meandered around my neighboring community of gowanus, which may soon be re-named go-wo, or gowanus heights. but for now, it is more like gowanus depths, a low-elevation burnt-out industrial zone surrounding a fetid canal. still, i can imagine gondolas floating under the drawbridges and past the contented yuppie families sitting on the waterfront park outside the soon-to-come whole foods market, slated to be built on the pictured lot. i just hope they keep the old building on the corner (rumor is they will). see more gowanus photos by clicking on the picture.
